Tasting #20 - Fetzer Gewürztraminer

Name: Fetzer
Variety: Gewürztraminer
Region: Mendocino County, CA
Country: USA
Year: 2011
Price: $5

Wine Review: The Fetzer Gewurztraminer, produced in California, is medium bodied and exhibits the aforementioned sweetness common to this varietal. The primarily flavors conveyed on that current of sweetness are apricot and peach. Some people noted a little spice in there as well, though it was not uniformly recognized.

My Review: Pale yellow and slightly golden in color. Very floral on the nose with some honeysuckle. Sweet up front with hints on pineapple and peaches. I detected a little spice. There was a slightly dry finish with a short lingering taste. I enjoyed tasting this wine and would score it a 7 out of 10.

This wine was tasted without food.
