Tasting #21 - St. Joseph's Vidal Blanc Ice Wine

Name: St. Joseph's Vineyard Ice Wine
Variety: Vidal Blanc (Hybrid variety)
Region: Grand River Valley, Ohio
Country: USA
Year: 2009
Price: $30

Winery Review: Made from Vidal blanc.  Rich, late harvest honey and apricot.  Excellence balance and a long finish.  A bargain at the price.

My Review: Straw yellow in color. On the nose I got some floral and tropical fruit notes with a strange sharp scent that may be moldy grass. Sweet and a little bubbly with a full body feel. Hints of honey with a slight dry and acidic finish. Really enjoyed this wine and had a great time tasting it with my Mom. I'd rate this wine 9 out of 10.

This wine was tasted without food.
